Our main house is an historic Victorian estate that exemplifies the Eastlake Italianate style. It was built in 1874 by Robert Simpson and has been lovingly restored by the Davies family. Robert and Julia Simpson Room

The most spacious room in the Main House, the Robert and Julia Simpson Room is decorated with an exquisite rose-colored wallpaper in the style of William Morris. The room is accented by a half canopied king-size bed; cozy sitting area; and a private bathroom with an old-fashioned claw-foot tub and shower combination. French doors open onto a spacious wraparound  private deck that overlooks the gardens and fountains.  The deck features a teak table and chairs, umbrellas, two oversize chairs with ottomans and a sumptious sofa.

Parlor Room

PHOTO PENDING UPDATE. Authentic hand printed Victorian wallpaper, a bay window and a gas-burning fireplace give this first floor room its wonderful character. Accented by an Oriental rug and bookshelves, this room captures the essence of a Victorian parlor. This beautiful room features an antique four poster king-size bed and a private bathroom with a claw-foot tub and antique brass shower combination.

Margaret Simpson Room

Step into the rich and comforting world of the Margaret Simpson Room, which boasts a striking green and gold wallpaper in an authentic Victorian pattern; antique European queen-size bed; and a private bath with a pedestal sink, claw-foot tub and brass shower.

Sun Room

Decorated in a bright mix of rose and green, this cozy room features white wicker furniture and a queen-size bed with upholstered headboard.  The bathroom with shower is tucked behind a pocket door and the marble topped vanity sink is in a corner of the room.  You're sure to enjoy the luxurious private deck that offers umbrellas, a teak table, chairs & a sectional seating area. Soak-in the views of the gardens and mountains.

Katherine McCormick Room

These intimate quarters, richly decorated in terra cotta and indigo, reflect the renowned Victorian design style of Christopher Dresser. This Santa Barbara accommodation has an antique queen bed and a private shower with Victorian pull chain toilet and shower.

Mary Simpson Room

This charming room is decorated with authentic hand printed Victorian wallpaper in soothing tones of rose, an antique queen-size bed & mirrored armoire. Accommodations include a detached, private bathroom with shower one step across the hallway.  Luxurious bathrobes & slippers are provided.  The room has a marble topped vanity sink set into an alcove.
